Cute scrapbook layouts

Hello crafters!

I've had such a busy week. I started animation classes in college, have been working on Etsy orders back to back, and of course keeping up with my running toddler and doing house chores. Whew!

I've been trying to maximize my time management and not waste so much time playing games on my phone (my weakness) or scrolling through Pinterest (easier said than done most days!) so that I can have more time to create ☺️ This week has been a success, and I finally got around to creating a couple of scrapbook pages in McKenzie's scrapbook. It has been a very long time since I've made a scrapbook layout, and I found tons of ideas on Pinterest during one of those moments I was scrolling forever...... oops! I took the inspiration photos and made my own versions of them.

So, here is the first layout I made! Cute, right? I've been waiting to scrapbook Kenzie's sonogram photos but couldn't decide on a keepsake way that I really liked. I think this is perfect and just what I was wanting! I titled it "Our First Glimpse". I used doilies in the background for added white space and a vintage girly feel. Of course I had to add in flowers because I love them 🌸 On the left page I showcased one picture from each of her sonogram appointments to show off and see how well she grew. For the right page, I used my CAMEO to cut out some little pockets. I decorated each pocket with cute scrapbook paper, a bit of lace, and added on labels for which sonogram photos are inside. The bottom of the right page has a large blank space where I plan to add in a journaling card with some thoughts about how I felt with her in my tummy.

On to the next layout:

The second layout I finished this week is her bath time layout, and it is quite possibly my favorite layout I have ever created! I love how this turned out! I printed out black and white photos, and chose a grey polka dot scrapbook paper for the background. For added color pop, I cut out strips of scrap pink paper I had laying around, and cut the edges to resemble banners. [I try to use up scraps as much as possible before moving on to new craft supplies. Any one else?] I then pieced them all together using my ATG glue gun and layered some for a fun effect. I added in some fun bath time embellishments, as well as some tiny adhesive gems. Last but not least, I did the journaling on the bottom. ✒️ I didn't try to make my handwriting perfect, just wrote down what came to mind. I like how it looks scribbled on; pretty artsy I think!

I would love to see some of the scrapbook layouts you have created! Post them in the comments below, or tag me on instagram @ayeleighhhart ♥︎
